Welcome to The Workshop Scene ("we," "us," "our," "the Platform"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, which allows hosts to list workshops and allows audience members to discover workshops near them.
By accessing or using The Workshop Scene, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Who We Are
The Workshop Scene is a directory website based in the United Arab Emirates that connects workshop hosts with people interested in attending workshops.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account or list a workshop on the Platform. By using the Platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Accounts
3.1 Registration
To list a workshop or access certain features, you must register for an account using a valid email address and, for hosts, additional details such as contact information, address, and images as described in our Privacy Policy.
3.2 Accuracy of Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
3.3 Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or engage in fraudulent or harmful conduct.
4. Host Listings
4.1 Content You Submit
As a host, you may submit workshop details, contact information (email, phone number), physical address, images, and social media links. You agree that:
- All information submitted is accurate and not misleading.
- You have the right to use and publish any images, logos, or content you upload.
- You have obtained consent from any third party whose personal details or images you include in a listing.
- Your workshop and its promotion comply with applicable UAE laws and regulations.
4.2 Public Display
You understand and agree that listing details — including your contact information, address, images, and social media links — will be publicly visible on the Platform to enable audience members to find and contact you.
4.3 No Guarantee of Bookings or Outcomes
We do not guarantee attendance, bookings, or any particular outcome from listing a workshop on the Platform.
4.4 Editing of Listings
We reserve the right to make minor edits to listing content — such as correcting spelling, grammar, or formatting — to maintain quality and readability across the Platform. We will not alter the substance, pricing, or key details of your listing without your consent.
4.5 Curation and Removal of Listings
The Workshop Scene is curated for casual, leisure-oriented, and creative workshops. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to decline, edit, or remove any listing that we believe does not align with the tone, theme, or community spirit of the Platform — including listings that are overly clinical, corporate, or otherwise inconsistent with our leisure-focused audience — as well as any listing that violates these Terms, is inaccurate, fraudulent, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate.
5. Audience Use
5.1 Finding and Contacting Hosts
Audience members may browse listings and use the contact details provided (such as email, phone number, or social media) to reach out to hosts directly. Registration, booking, payment, and attendance for any workshop is arranged entirely between the audience member and the host, outside of the Platform. The Workshop Scene does not process registrations, bookings, or payments on behalf of hosts or audience members, and is not a party to any agreement between them.
5.2 No Endorsement
Listing a workshop on the Platform does not constitute our endorsement, verification, or guarantee of the host's qualifications, the workshop's quality, or its safety.
6. The Workshop Scene's Role
The Workshop Scene acts solely as a directory connecting hosts and audience members. We do not organize, host, supervise, or take responsibility for any workshop listed on the Platform, and we are not responsible for the conduct, reliability, availability, or communication of any host or audience member — including but not limited to missed responses, cancellations, rescheduling, or the quality or safety of any workshop. All interactions, transactions, and agreements between hosts and audience members are made directly between those parties, outside of the Platform, and are undertaken at their own risk.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Upload content that infringes on intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party
- Post unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or harmful content
- Use the Platform to harass, spam, or scrape user data
- Attempt to interfere with the security or proper functioning of the Platform
- Use another person's account or impersonate any person or entity
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Our Content
The Workshop Scene's name, logo, design, and platform content (excluding user-submitted content) are our property or licensed to us and may not be used without permission.
8.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of content you submit (such as workshop descriptions and images) but grant The Workshop Scene a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the Platform for the purpose of operating and promoting the service.
9. Payments and Fees
Listing a workshop on The Workshop Scene is currently free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce listing fees, subscription charges, or other charges for hosts in the future. If we do, we will provide reasonable notice before any such fees apply to you, and continued use of the Platform after that notice constitutes acceptance of the updated fee terms.
10. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any workshop listed will be accurate, safe, or as described.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Workshop Scene and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Platform or any workshop or interaction arranged through it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform shall not exceed the amount, if any, you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Workshop Scene from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your listing content, or your violation of these Terms.
13. Copyright and Content Complaints
